Project Summary
This project required that the website be easy to navigate, easy to maintain, and to have a design that was celebrating life and paid tribute to our veterans. The obituary module was to allow for visitors to send/view/print their condolences to the deceased. A search through the obituaries history was also required. To increase their preplanning traffic and interest, they needed an online form to be emailed to the salesman and also to store that information within the database so visitors could modify their requirements as they change in the future. Murrieta Valley Funeral Home also required there be an area dedicated to Veterans Funeral Care™ explaining Veteran options and an area that answered mostly commonly asked questions. In addition to the requirements, a library of articles was also added which included subjects as explaining cremation to children, giving support to a spouse in their greiving, how to deal with the loss of a parent, and many more. These informational articles must also be available for printing.
With our i-SiteFuneralHome™ 3.0 content management system we were able to oblige our client with ease of maintaining over 95% of the content on their website along with giving their website the capability of growing as their company grew. Our WYSIWYG editor within the obituary module allowed them to send obituaries along with the deceased's photo to any of their local media centers. This module also includes a template editor to handle the different layout requirements of newspapers. The module removed the task of having to keep the obituary information in their database along with then having to also use MS Outlook to send them out.
